What is Restylane?

Over time, natural fat begins to deteriorate, resulting in sagging skin, more prominent wrinkles, and a reduction of volume. Restylane is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that is specifically-formulated to act like your body’s naturally-produced moisturizing gel that adds volume to wrinkles for a “just right” result, without looking overdone or artificial. Restylane helps to visibly correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the lines that run from your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corners of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines). Restylane may also be used for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years of age.

There is minimal downtime after treatment, with most clients resuming regular activity immediately following the procedure.

 

The process is completed in just a few steps:

    1. Treatment goals are discussed the skin is prepped.
    2. Specific areas of concern are discussed with the patient to determine treatment plan.
    3. After a topical numbing agent is applied to decrease discomfort, a series of quick injections are made using a very fine needle. The injections typically feel like a small pinch.
    4. Some patients may experience temporary swelling for 1-3 days after treating lips.
